Wild Rice For 4-5 people, use 1/2 lb. of rice. Put rice in large saucepan. Add water to cover by 3". Bring to boil and simmer until water is absorbed and rice is tender, but not mushy. (It will take about 40 minutes). Cook uncovered. In a small skillet, melt 1/2 sticke of margarine. Add 1 cup chopped onion and 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms. Sautee until tender. Add to cooked rice and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
